Marx Brothers: "You Bet Your Life" Pilot

1949 Rated NR 1hr 12m

In December 1949, Groucho Marx debuted a television comedy/quiz show that had already acquired a huge following on the radio. Although there was doubt as to whether the program would translate successfully to TV viewers, the series ended up having a remarkable 12-year run. This special release includes the entire original pilot, with all the initial blunders, mistakes, off-the-cuff remarks and a visibly nervous George Fenneman as the announcer.
