Mozart: Bastien Und Bastienne
In Mozart's comic opera -- penned when the composer was only 12 years old -- sweet and naïve shepherdess Bastienne fears she's lost the love of her dear Bastien, so she seeks out the help of the village magician and soothsayer, Colas. A charming fusion of puppetry and live actors, this rendition directed by Thomas Reichert and conducted by Elisabeth Fuchs features the Salzburg Youth Orchestra and the artistry of the Salzburg Marionettentheater.
