From renowned director Peter Sellars comes this rare production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's unfinished opera "Zaide," the story of a beautiful girl who falls in love with a slave … much to the chagrin of the jealous sultan who has eyes for her. Russian soprano Ekaterina Lekhina sings the title role, with American tenors Sean Panikkar and Russell Thomas playing the parts of the slave Gomatz and the formidable Sultan Soliman, respectively.
