Celebrating the turn of the century on December 31, 1999, this concert filmed live at Austria's Musikverein concert hall features conductor Riccardo Muti leading the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in a selection of classical compositions. Continuing a grand New Year's tradition that began in 1939, the orchestra plays traditional waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss, Josef Strauss, Eduard Strauss and Franz von Suppé.
