When a 6-year-old Bolivian boy enters the lives of fille de joie Paula Gireaux (Anne Charrier) and her gunman-for-hire beau, Michel Angelo (Murilo Benício), the youngster inspires the couple to try to put their sordid pasts behind them. But with an illegal deal tying Paula to a dangerous British drug lord (Tom Conti), she and Michel soon discover that their dream will not come without a hefty price in this twisty noir thriller.
