This collection of animated stories based on the classic manga series by Osamu Tezuka spans eons of time, bound together by the main characters' quest for eternal life. But, as with all things, the characters' obsession with immortality has its price. Because the suffering caused by a never-ending life can be almost too much to bear, is it therefore better to never seek it in the first place?
