In Nazi-occupied Poland, two urban intellectuals, Frederick (Krzysztof Majchrzak) and Witold (Adam Ferency), are invited to a country estate, where they become disturbingly obsessed with sparking a romance between their host's adolescent daughter and a local farm boy. In their efforts to corrupt the naïve youth, the schemers widen their net of perverse mind games. Jan Jakub Kolski directs this adaptation of Witold Gombrowicz's novel.
