Robert Johnson: The Search for Robert Johnson

1992 Rated NR 1hr 12m

Blues musician John Hammond Jr. explores the brief life of Robert Johnson, the king of the Mississippi Delta country blues who is said to have sold his soul to the devil at "the crossroads." Hammond traces the path of this troubled and mysterious figure through his personal relationships (including an interview with a woman claiming to be Johnson's wife) and his untimely death at age 27 -- allegedly from poison at the hands of a jealous husband.
