The incomparable Placido Domingo stars as the ill-fated hero in this stirring San Francisco Opera production of Camille Saint-Saens's powerful three-act opera based upon the famous biblical parable. Conducted by Julius Rudel, the memorable production also features performances by Wolfgang Brendel, Arnold Woketaitis and most notably Shirley Verrett as the beautiful yet conniving temptress Dalila.
