Mel Brooks is the slapstick centerpiece of this romp, where kidnapping is an act of love. Setting out to fulfill his father's dying wish to be reunited with a war buddy (Brooks), Bernardo (comedian Ezio Greggio) find his target cosseted away in an asylum. Kidnapping Brooks is easy, but getting him back to Italy may leave Bernardo with a few loose screws of his own.
