A young woman born of two disparate cultures is torn by love and family in this drama set in 19th-century Australia. Jila (Alice Haines) is the child of an Afghan father and an Aborigine mother who grows up with her mother's family. But fate places her under the control of her devout Muslim father, who opposes her love of a kindly minister's son --and uses the laws of his faith to force Jila into an arranged marriage. Will true love win out?
