Stage director Max Stafford-Clark offers this production of Oliver Goldsmith's enduring 18th-century farce, which follows the wild ruses of aristocrats and their guests as they seek love and treasure in a country manor over the course of one night. As heiress Kate (Monica Dolan) poses as a barmaid to win over Charles (Christopher Staines), their friends attempt madcap schemes of their own.
