United Nations translator Alan (Ed Begley Jr.) and his kindergarten teacher wife, Beverly (Linda Purl), are drawn into a world of international espionage when an eccentric CIA agent who looks exactly like Alan's old college pal, Freddie (Harry Anderson), persuades them to help him thwart a presidential assassination plot.
