Sumptuous soprano Joan Sutherland leads a formidable cast in this opera from waltz master Johann Strauss's "Die Fledermaus" – the breathless farcical tale of idle Eisenstein, his reproachful wife, Rosalinde, and their sprightly maid Adele. Sutherland joins Robert Gard, Heather Begg, Anson Austin and the Australian Opera Chorus in this sparkling production, conducted by Richard Bonynge and directed by Hugh Davison.
