Visually gripping and filled with corruption, murder and heartbreak, this film rendition of Stravinsky's opera-oratorio stars English tenor Philip Langridge in the title role, with Jessye Norman as the commanding Jocasta and Bryn Terfel as Creon. Produced, directed and designed by Julie Taymor, the production also features accompaniment by the Saito Kinen Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Seiji Ozawa.
