Strike Up the Band
Jimmy Connors (Mickey Rooney) and Mary Holden (Judy Garland) put on a show to raise cash so the musical kids in town can enter a prestigious orchestra competition. But the real world tangles with their dream, and soon it's unclear whether they'll make it to the contest. Hollywood's musical master Busby Berkeley directs this musical comedy, which won an Oscar for Best Sound and nominations for Best Score and Song.
