Francisco Reyes, Paulina Gálvez and Berta Lasala star in this withering look at the injustices inflicted on the working class -- in this case, the coal miners in the town of Lota, Chile. It's 1897, and the workers are chafing under horrible conditions. Finally, one of them (Reyes) decides to fight back, hoping his colleagues will also see the light and join him in his noble fight against the mine's owners, the Cousiño Goyenechea clan.
