Acerbic radio talk-show host Barry (Eric Bogosian) discovers that his controversial, late-night program is about to be picked up for national syndication. But the news doesn't comfort Barry as his love life with girlfriend Ellen (Ellen Greene) disintegrates. At the same time, out of fear that the show's new management will try to alter his content, Barry is driven to spout opinions that anger everyone -- including a local neo-Nazi group.
