Merle (Gregory Harrison), a Vietnam Vet turned hotel concierge, and his wife, Rindy (Glynnis O'Connor), barely scrape by on their small salaries. When Merle hears about an amateur boxing match with a large prize, he sees it as a chance to boost their finances.
