The Golden Bowl
Set in early 20th-century England, this 1972 BBC adaptation of Henry James's novel centers on American art collector Adam Verver (Barry Morse) and his daughter, Maggie (Jill Townsend), both of whom suspect their spouses of adultery. When Maggie marries a poor Italian prince (Daniel Massey) and Adam marries Maggie's childhood friend (Gayle Hunnicutt), father and daughter share the same heartache. Cyril Cusack co-stars.
