  • Overview
  • Details
Neoimpressionist French artist Georges Seurat invented pointillism, a process in which tiny dots of color fuse into a whole picture when viewed from a distance. Before his untimely death at age 31, he completed only seven pointillist paintings; one of them, &NFi;A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte&NFi_;, was the centerpiece at an 1886 exhibition. This compelling documentary looks at Seurat's life, his works and his creative technique.
