When unscrupulous defense attorney Martin Strang (Milburn Stone) discovers his wife, Lucille (Katherine DeMille), is having an affair, he schemes to punish the lovers and forces one of his clients to help. But when his machinations go off track, he realizes the error of his unprincipled ways -- only to have justice visit him from an unexpected quarter.
