The League of Grateful Sons
On March 12, 2005, more than 80 World War II veterans returned to Iwo Jima to mark the 60th anniversary of the historic island battle. Filmmaker Geoffery Botkin tells the story of the God-fearing soldiers whose faith sustained them during the brutal 36-day conflict. Extras include a dramatized bombing mission over Japan that explains how radar was used in battle, and historic photos from campaigns in the Pacific and on the home front.
