Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton) is a modern Midwestern mom struggling to manage her eccentric, rambunctious household in the small Indiana town where she grew up in this cheerily satirical domestic comedy. While Frankie and husband Mike (Neil Flynn) are out working, their three children -- sullen Axl, nerdy middle-schooler Sue and their socially challenged little brother, Brick -- stay busy developing unique and often frantic growing pains.
