The New Yorker
After meeting an American girl (Grace Phillips) in Paris, Alfred (Mathieu Demy) leaves France to follow her to New York City. But when he arrives on her doorstep to declare his feelings, she summarily rejects him. In a quest to win back a dream girl he hardly knows, Alfred agrees to dog-sit for a mafioso (Shawn Elliott) and, in the process, becomes embroiled in the city's seamy -- and dangerous -- underworld.
