Superb set and costume designs, along with composer Benjamin Britten's stirring ballet score, add to the enchanting ambiance of choreographer Kenneth MacMillan's interpretation of "The Prince of the Pagodas." Darcey Bussell delivers a sparkling performance as the lovely Princess Rose, who turns an ugly salamander into a handsome prince (Jonathan Cope) in this magnificent production recorded at London's Covent Garden in 1990.
