The Three Mesquiteers kicks off the film series of the same name when our cowboy heroes (here, Syd Saylor, Robert Livingston and Ray Corrigan) help World War I vets homestead in New Mexico. In Trigger Trio (with Max Terhune replacing Saylor as Lullaby Joslin and Ralph Byrd taking on a Mesquiteer role), the friends must solve the murder of an agriculture agent investigating sick cattle.
