Literary scholar Jonathan Merrick (Wes Bentley) becomes entranced with the mysterious Ligeia (Sofya Skya) and vows to help her battle a fatal disease. But he's shocked to learn that Ligeia has found a way to extend her life by stealing people's souls. She soon convinces Merrick to join her in a decrepit seaside manor where they can focus on her pursuit of immortality -- a choice that may cost him his fiancée, and eventually his sanity.
