The Wind and the Lion
The Sultan of the Berbers (a dashing Sean Connery) kidnaps an American widow (Candice Bergen) and her children in turn-of-century Morocco, and the event quickly escalates into an international crisis involving the Germans, British, French and Russians. Director John Milius based the film loosely on an actual historical event. Brian Keith plays President Theodore Roosevelt, and Steve Kanaly has a nice turn as a "gung-ho" Marine captain.
