Title examiner Leah Farrell (Maureen McCormick) is bored with her routine life and dull job, but things are about to heat up when, while doing routine paperwork, she uncovers the case of a missing person and becomes embroiled in the mob, mayhem and possibly murder. Christopher Atkins plays District Attorney Paul Shaughnessy, who aids Leah's quest for justice. While he tries to keep her from becoming the next victim on the Mafia's hit list, romance blossoms.
