This 1999 film fest award winner follows juvenile prisoner Ryan Kazinski (Ryan Daugherty) as he breaks out of the detention center and navigates his way through south Florida's swamps and concrete, encountering a string of oddballs along the way. Fledgling filmmaker Julian Goldberger's experimental techniques pay clear and effective homage to such auteurs as François Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard and John Cassavettes.
