Student Yuki Cross and her childhood friend Zero Kiryu serve an important function as part of the Disciplinary Committee at Cross Academy: to keep the Day Class students from discovering that the enchanting Night Class students are all vampires. While Yuki has an affinity for vampires and believes they can live together peacefully with humans, Zero regards the bloodsuckers as mortal enemies not to be trusted.
