An Australian girl, Violet (Rebecca Smart), grows tired of her single mom's wild romantic life, filled with boyfriends old and new. So, she decides it's time to move in with her estranged father (Graham Harvey), whom she hasn't seen for as long as she can remember. When she finds him and discovers he's gay and has had a lover for years, it takes some getting used to; meanwhile, her father must adjust to life with a teenager he hardly knows.
