Larson E. Whipsnade (W.C. Fields) runs a circus badly, of course, and get into all kinds of mischief with Edgar Bergen (and his puppet, Charlie McCarthy). A hilarious ping-pong game --with an outmatched Fields desperately trying to hold his own -- is the film's highlight. The comical supporting cast, which amounts to a veritable Fields stock company, includes Grady Sutton and Eddie "Rochester" Anderson.
