Perhaps the pinnacle in the series of Anthony Mann/Jimmy Stewart Westerns, Winchester '73 stars Stewart as obsessed cowhand Lin McAdam. The trouble starts when McAdam wins a valuable Winchester 1873 repeating rifle in a shooting contest -- which his brother instantly steals.
