Wynton Marsalis: Congo Square
Joined by the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Grammy-winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis teams with African master drummer Yacub Addy and his percussion ensemble for a memorable concert recorded at the 2007 Montreal Jazz Festival. Blending blues, Dixieland, swing, funk and jazz, the musicians create a singular sound in the 80-minute suite "Congo Square," written by Marsalis and Addy shortly after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.
