Beginning in 2000, Douglas landed guest spots on TV series such as "Cold Squad," "Dark Angel" "Stargate SG-1" and "The Outer Limits." He was soon splitting his time between television and feature films, with small supporting roles in Final Destination 2 and X2: X-Men United (both 2003). But his career shifted into high gear in 2004 when he was cast in the part of Galen Tyrol, the steadfast chief petty officer on "Battlestar Galactica" (which enjoyed a four-year run).
Douglas later joined the cast of the Netflix original series "Hemlock Grove" (2013), playing a lawman who probes a girl's grisly murder in a Pennsylvania steel town.
Kathy and her daughter, Lizzy, are driving late at night on a deserted back road surrounded by dense forest when their car breaks down. As they search for assistance, the women realize that they're being stalked by a malevolent presence.
