Rossini: Cinderella (Australian Opera)

1987 NR

In this 1987 performance by The Australian Opera Chorus, the fairy tale that gave stepparents and stepsiblings a bad name springs to life in a beautifully sung production directed by Michael Hampe and conducted by Carlo Felice Cillario. Bernadette Cullen sings the role of the lonely stepdaughter in the house of Don Magnifico who has her life turned upside-down when she encounters the wife-hunting Prince Ramiro at a ball. Gary Bennett also stars.
