During the early 1990s, Zimmer appeared in TV commercials for Duracell, Budweiser and other famous brands, and throughout the rest of the decade she turned up as a guest on shows that include "Babylon 5," "Seinfeld" and "Chicago Hope." Work as a series regular followed with "Good Morning, Miami" (2002-04), as did a recurring role in "Entourage," in which she memorably portrayed potty-mouthed studio executive Dana Gordon from 2005-11.
Zimmer has also taken her talents to the big screen in the indie comedy Spin Cycle (2000), Chaos Theory (2008) and Demoted (2011, opposite Michael Vartan). In 2012, she was cast in the Netflix original series "House of Cards."
