Born March 1, 1973, in Suffolk, England, Davenport studied literature and film in college before making his feature film debut in John Cleese's Fierce Creatures (1998). During this same period, he would become a star in his native land with his portrayal of the very uncharming Miles in the BBC series "This Life."
Since then, Davenport has made numerous appearances in film and TV on both sides of the Atlantic, with roles in "Coupling," The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Wedding Date (opposite Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney) and the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
