W.C. Fields turns in a classic comedic performance as the leader of a ragtag acting troupe who secures lodging for his crew by convincing a wealthy widow (Jan Duggan) that she'll be cast in their next production of "The Drunkard." Child prodigy Baby LeRoy co-stars as a scene-stealing imp who torments Fields by peppering him with constant questions such as "How can you hurt a watch by dipping it in molasses?"
