After landing small television and movie roles -- including bit parts in Kissing Jessica Stein (2001) and We Were Soldiers (2002) -- Hamm was cast as a recurring character on "The Division," followed by regular work on "The Unit" and "What About Brian."

Hamm has also appeared on the big screen in the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008), Stolen Lives (2009) and The Town (2010).
