Four Frightened People

1934 NR

The legendary Cecil B. DeMille directs this compact disaster drama, his second film ever to be produced with the aid of sound. When an infectious plague breaks out aboard an ocean liner, four passengers (Herbert Marshall, Claudette Colbert, William Gargan and Mary Boland) steal a lifeboat and make a beeline for a distant island. The horrors that await them on land, however, are far more dangerous than those at sea.
